We are currently providing financial assistance for four pastors, all in different locations but all having the same purpose to connect people to Jesus.

In 2018 we also ran two projects, “Getting Pastors Mobile” and the “Well Project”.

GETTING PASTORS MOBILE

“Getting Pastors Mobile” came about having seen and heared stories of Pastors walking for miles to their church communities and also maintaining visitation with people in their communities. Our church raised enough money to purchase five motorbikes that were given to Pastors to aid with their responsibilities and to ensure they also get home to their families.

THE WELL PROJECT

The “Well Project” began because of a situation that came to our attention, of a small village in northern Sri Lanka that was largely populated with war widows. The local pastor was doing his best to shepherd these women and their children, but life in the village was tough. The women were struggling to make ends meet with no employment and minimal food. Making provision for their families was a daily burden. The Pastor owned some land with a well on it, but it was blocked and the irrigation system broken. We were so blessed to partner with this small community to unblock the well, repair the irrigation and see them able to work and prepare the land, and eventually be able to sow their seed. Now, season after season, there is a harvest of vegetables that is providing them with food for their tables, and some surplus crops that the women can sell at the local markets, giving them a small income to help them survive.
